A new site is worth a visit to anyone with a nostalgic memory of the time when music came in 12 inch squares of sturdy, glossy artwork. Coverheaven celebrates the beautiful record covers of yesterday, specifically from the fifties to the eighties. Not for the snowflakes, this site is a monument to the days when admiring female beauty was an innocent affair. Having said that there are examples record covers in its archives that would now bring on apoplexy in many – but they serve as useful reminders of the changes wrought over time. Coverheaven labels itself the “Home of beautiful record covers” and once you see for yourself it will be hard to disagree.
